LinkWitness

Terms of Service

Responsible use of LinkWitness.

Effective 13 July 2026

The service

LinkWitness provides point-in-time assessments of observable link and website signals. Reports are informational tools, not guarantees of safety, wrongdoing, identity, legality, availability, or future behavior.

Your responsibility

You remain responsible for independent verification and for decisions involving money, credentials, software, personal data, legal rights, or physical safety. Do not rely on a LinkWitness report as the sole basis for a consequential decision.

Permitted use

You may use the service for legitimate personal safety, defensive security, due diligence, research, and correction purposes. Use must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.

Corrections and disputes

Affected parties may submit counter-evidence through the correction process. A submission does not guarantee a change. Payment or partnership cannot purchase a particular finding.

Availability and changes

Evidence sources may be delayed, unavailable, or incomplete. We may modify, rate-limit, suspend, or discontinue functionality to protect users, comply with law, or maintain the service.

Intellectual property

LinkWitness branding, interface, report structure, and original content are protected by applicable rights. You may cite or share an unaltered report for legitimate purposes, but may not misrepresent its source, remove material limitations, or imply endorsement.

Disclaimer and limitation

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. LinkWitness is not liable for decisions made solely from a report, third-party content, unavailable sources, or changes occurring after a scan. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
